An activity to raise awareness of the importance of early detection and cancer screening of breast cancer was held in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture.

This activity was undertaken for the first time by the Kochi branch of Nippon Life Insurance Co. and others in an effort to raise awareness of the Pink Ribbon Campaign, which conveys the importance of early detection and cancer screening for breast cancer.

Kochi Fighting Dogs players also participated in the awareness-raising activities. At the match to be held in Kochi City on the 30th, a booth promoting cancer screening will be set up, so they appealed to passersby about the importance of screening and encouraging them to visit the match venue.

“It is impossible to create a body that will not get cancer, so I would like everyone to undergo cancer screening. If you feel even a little unwell, please come in for a checkup right away and take steps to improve your health.”

According to the National Cancer Center, the breast cancer screening attendance rate for people aged 40 to 69 in Kochi Prefecture is 49.2%, which is higher than the national average, but still falls short of the national target for 2022, and Nippon Life Insurance will continue to make such efforts in the future.
