Woori Finance, medical support for children and adolescents with hearing and visual impairments

Woori Financial Group announced on the 1st that it will support surgery and rehabilitation treatment costs worth 2 billion won for 400 low-income children and adolescents with hearing and visual impairments this year.

The plan for ‘Our Rookie Project Season 2’ was announced.

Last year, Woori Financial Group provided 1 billion won in support to 200 people for eye opening surgery, cochlear implant surgery, and rehabilitation treatment expenses. It was decided to double the amount of support this year and expand the scope to include strabismus surgery and cochlear implant replacement, which are not covered by national health insurance. Separately, Woori Financial Group is also launching a new project to foster a clarinet performance troupe for hearing-impaired youth.

Our Momocon is an event where you can experience Woori Financial Group’s social contribution activities while enjoying performances by top artists. Goodwill Store, Woori Financial Group’s core social contribution business, also opened Woori Goodwill Market on site and sold snacks, clothing, and accessories. Goodwill Store is a project to create jobs for 1,500 people with disabilities by providing 30 billion won by 2033.
