New Delhi: Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal has expressed concern over Hindu Sena’s claim that there is a Shiva temple under the Ajmer Dargah.

Kapil responded that such incidents happening in the country are worrying. He also asked where this country is being taken just for political gain. Kapil’s response is through expost. The Hindu Shiv Sena claims that the famous dargah of Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti in Ajmer is a Shiva temple. The petition filed in this regard was also accepted in the court file.

The court has issued notices to the parties, the Dargah Committee, the Minority Affairs Department and the Archaeological Survey of India. The petition was filed by Hindu Sena national president Vishnu Gupta, pointing out that there was a Shiva temple in the place where the dargah is located. The petition demanded that the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) survey the site and allow Hindus to worship there.

‘Disturbingly… the latest claim is that there is a Shiva temple beneath the Ajmer Dargah. Where are we taking this country? Why? Just for political gain…’ – Kapil Sibal wrote on X.

Notices have been sent to the court dargah committee and ASI, which received the petition on file. The matter will be heard again on December 20. The petition says that the dargah should be declared a Sankat Mochan Mahadeva temple and worship should be allowed. In Uttar Pradesh Sambhal, the Shahi Jama Masjid had come to conduct a survey following a court order, which had resulted in a clash.
