Shortly before Christmas we asked you: Who is your FCN player for the first half of the season? The result is clear.

You have voted more than 3,250 times (as of January 17, 2025, 1:30 p.m.) for your FCN player for the first half of the 2024/25 season. Before the start of the second half of the season against Karlsruher SC on Sunday, it is now time to evaluate our vote, which has been going on since Christmas.

The vote shows a clear and clear winner: Stefanos Tzimas received almost half of all votes cast. 48 percent of participants voted for the young FCN striker, who has been on everyone’s lips since the interest from the great Liverpool FC recently became public. No wonder: The loanee from Thessaloniki scored eight goals in 14 games and prepared two more goals in his first half series in League 2 for the club. And: The 19-year-old, who has only been 19 for a few days, still has enormous development potential.

Another summer newcomer came second in the vote for FCN player of the first half of the season: Caspar Jander. The 21-year-old midfielder (came from Duisburg) appeared in every game for the club with one exception, quickly took on a key role and was able to shine twice as a goalscorer and four times as a provider. 23 percent of participants voted for Jander.

Jens Castrop secured the last place on the podium. The “Aggressive Leader” at FCN confirmed his strong preseason in a central position under Miroslav Klose, making 15 league games and scoring three goals (one assist). Nine percent voted for the 21-year-old.

Landing on the other places in our vote:

  • Julian Justvan (seven percent)
  • Finn Jeltsch (five percent)
  • Jan Reichert (four percent)
  • Robin Knoche (two percent)
  • Another (two percent)
