According to a reporter from the Vietnam News Agency in Moscow, attending the ceremony were representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy, ​​leaders of RUDN, representatives of a number of universities in Moscow and a large number of Vietnamese students studying at RUDN.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Ly Tien Hung, First Secretary of the Department of Economics, Science and Education, sent congratulations on National Day to all attendees and thanked the government’s leadership. The school has created favorable conditions for Vietnamese students and hopes that the School will continue to help so that Vietnamese students can study and develop their talents.

Mr. Sergey Bazavluk, Vice Rector in charge of student affairs at RUDN, also sent congratulations on Vietnam’s National Day, expressing his honor to be present at the flower offering ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh monument.

According to Mr. Bazavluk, the Russian-Vietnamese friendship both in wartime and peacetime is extremely good, especially in educational cooperation. Currently, RUDN has 180 Vietnamese students and graduate students studying and this is one of the largest foreign student communities at the school.

Next, the representative of the International Students Unit presented to the School the painting “Portrait of President Ho Chi Minh” created by Vietnamese students themselves from beans.

Unit Head Nguyen Bang An Quang, representative of the Unit’s Executive Board, summarized activities and awarded certificates of merit to 22 individuals with achievements and positive contributions to the unit in the 2020-2021 school year.
