Speaking at the meeting held in both face-to-face and online forms, Mr. Do Xuan Hoang, Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Russia, said he enjoyed Responding to the call of the Government, the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, after two months of launching and implementing donations (from June 25 to August 25), the “Unanimous Vietnam” project received a total of more than 10 million rubles (equivalent to more than 3.2 billion VND), attracting the participation of more than 1,300 individuals and 13 Vietnamese businesses. . Notably, two companies “TH RUS Milk Food” and “Mareven Food Central” donated 7 million rubles and 1 million rubles to the Fund, respectively. With the amount of money raised, the Vietnamese Association in Russia is considering the possibility of purchasing medical equipment to help the homeland fight the epidemic in the fastest and most effective way.

This is the first time the Vietnamese Association has coordinated to organize a donation project in a combination of both online and in-person, whereby individuals and organizations can voluntarily contribute money in three ways. is through the website of the “Tradition and Friendship” Fund (at fonddruzhba.ru), or transfer money directly to the Fund’s account or pay in cash at the Fund office.

A representative of the Project Campaign Committee said that initially there were certain difficulties for those who were not familiar with electronic transactions, however, this method ensures high transparency, safety and compliance with the law. local law. In particular, the form of electronic donation also allows for large-scale donation, creating conditions for overseas Vietnamese from all regions in Russia to contribute and express their feelings of sharing difficulties with their homeland. .

Speaking from the Moscow bridge, Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam, Counselor, Head of the Embassy’s Community Affairs Department highly appreciated the efforts and perseverance of each individual in the Vietnamese Association in Russia in implementing the project. project, contributing to encouraging and arousing the feelings of overseas Vietnamese to always look towards their homeland, especially while the country is trying to cope with the Covid-19 epidemic.

Many opinions at the meeting also said that it is necessary to propagate more widely so that this form of online contribution can be replicated, gathering more sharing from overseas Vietnamese for their homeland; expressed readiness to join hands with the whole country to soon repel the epidemic, bring life back to normal and jointly promote economic development.
