Malayalees in the Gulf and Europe cannot avoid fruits and vegetables from Kerala on Onam. More than 100 tons of fruits and vegetables are being exported from here every day for the last one week. With the increase in vegetable exports, some airlines are using more cargo-carrying aircraft for Kochi service.
From the beginning of September, Onam anticipatory exports started from Kochi. In the first phase, vegetables like yams, ilavan, cucumbers, cucumbers, etc., which do not spoil for a long time, are sent. Different types of upperis will be prepared and sent in the first phase. From Saturday, other vegetables also began to be sent more. The one that climbs the most. This year the export of flowers is also more than the previous year. Average daily export from normal Kochi is 120 tonnes. Of this, 70% (84 tons) are fruits and vegetables. From 7th of this month, the export of vegetables has been over 110 tons. Orders have been received to send 160 tonnes each today and tomorrow.
