Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s approval rating has fallen below 60% for the first time since Russia began its invasion of Ukraine, hitting an all-time low.

On the 26th, the Ukrainian think tank Razumkov Center released the results of a public opinion poll on politics and social conditions.

According to the survey, 53.8% of respondents said they “trust” Zelensky.

Zelensky’s approval rating was 84.9% in February and March of last year, about a year after the invasion began, but it had fallen to 69% in the previous survey conducted in January of this year.

A survey conducted by another organization last month also showed that approval ratings were falling, citing factors such as the prolonged war and ongoing corruption in politics as contributing factors.

On the other hand, in response to the question of whether an election should be held given that the president has continued in power after his term had expired, 58.8% of respondents said that “an election should not be held,” meaning that more than half are opposed.
