According to the August employment statistics released by the U.S. Department of Labor on September 6, the number of non-agricultural employees, which reflects economic trends, increased by 142,000 from the previous month, but fell short of market expectations.
Additionally, the unemployment rate fell 0.1 percentage point from the previous month to 4.2%.
