The Handling Magic Compose is kept simple: In the text field of Google Messages there is a new chat bubble next to the emoji symbol. Magic Compose only in English for now

Although the magical text suggestions can now be used outside of the US, they are still in beta only in English and on Android available. Users must also be logged into their Google account. Google has not yet announced when German will be supported as a language (source: Google Messages help).
