Conclusion
The Turtle Beach Atlas Air offers excellent performance for gamers looking for a comfortable headset with great sound. The current online price of around 175 euros is high, but justified given the features and high-quality sound offered. The weaknesses in the design and controls are minor compared to the advantages. For gamers who prefer an open design and value sound quality and comfort, the Atlas Air is an excellent choice. However, those looking for a headset with a more premium look and more extensive customization options should consider other options.

Technical details
The Turtle Beach Atlas Air is a wireless headset that supports both 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connections. It is equipped with 40 millimeter drivers that cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 40 kHz.
The headset weighs 301 grams and offers a battery life of up to 50 hours. The design is, in our opinion, subtle and functional, with an adjustable mesh headband construction and floating earcups held in place by elastic bands to maximize comfort.

Scope of delivery and connection
The Turtle Beach Atlas Air comes with the headset, a USB-C dongle for the 2.4 GHz connection and a completely removable microphone with removable pop protection.
The dongle has a handy slide switch for switching between devices. However, a USB-C to A adapter is not included, which may limit its use on older devices.

Design and workmanship
As already mentioned, the Turtle Beach Atlas Air is equipped with a mesh headband construction that proves to be extremely comfortable. The ear cups are also light and softly padded.
The design is engineered to distribute weight evenly to minimize pressure points. The floating ear cups conform to the shape of your head for added comfort.
However, the plastic material seems a little less high-quality compared to other headsets in this price range.

Functions and technology
The Turtle Beach Atlas Air supports both 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth, making it flexible to use with a variety of devices. It is controlled via buttons on the left ear cup, but these are a bit difficult to find.
A highlight is the removable and foldable microphone, which provides clear voice transmission. Using the “Turtle Beach Swarm 2” software, users can make extensive audio settings on the PC, including a 10-band equalizer and functions such as chat mix and sidetone monitoring.

Gaming performance
The Turtle Beach Atlas Air impresses with its excellent sound quality. The open design enables a natural sound stage with detailed highs and rich bass.
In games like Fallout 4 and The Last of Us Part 1, the soundscape was expanded and reproduced in more detail, contributing to an immersive experience.
The headset is particularly impressive in competitive games such as “Call of Duty” with its precise sound localization, which offers an advantage in hectic gaming situations. The low latency and the long battery life of up to 50 hours are further plus points.
Voice quality of the integrated microphones
The Turtle Beach Atlas Air’s microphone quality is solid and offers clear voice transmission. The removable and foldable microphone is convenient for users who frequently switch between single and multiplayer games.
In our tests, voices were transmitted clearly and distinctly, although there were occasional slight issues with recognition by Windows 11. However, these could be resolved with firmware updates.
