April 19, 2019 (AFP) – Former US President Donald Trump on Wednesday called for Europe to spend more money on Ukraine.

“As we all agree, it’s far more important to Europe that Ukraine survive and be strong than it is to us. Of course it’s important to us, too! Move Europe!” he posted.

“Why is the US spending over $100 billion (approximately 15.4 trillion yen) on the Ukraine war, more than Europe? We are separated by an ocean!” ) Why can’t we match what the United States is spending to help countries in dire need?”

On the 20th, the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on an emergency budget bill that includes $61 billion (approximately 9.4 trillion yen) in additional military aid to Ukraine. Trump, who faces President Joe Biden in November’s presidential election, is currently out of office but has tight control over many Republican lawmakers who have delayed approving aid. (c)AFP
