Tokai University wins student judo championship for 27th time, breaking record

The final day of the All-Japan Student Judo Championship (sponsored by the All-Japan Student Judo Federation and the Mainichi Newspaper Company) was held on the 23rd at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, where the men’s open-weight seven-man tournament was held, with Tokai University winning for the 27th time in two years. This marks the most wins in history.

In the final, Arai Dota, who placed third in the 100kg class at the World Championships in May, and his teammates won, scoring 2-1.
