To cheer for the national delegation, the 2024 Presidential Palace Concert will be held at 7 pm on July 20 at the Art Plaza of the Two Halls. Li Houqing, secretary-general of the Federation of Cultural Affairs, said today (24th) that this is the first time since the presidential palace concert has been held in conjunction with an Olympic event that musicians have been invited to participate, and he hopes to use the “power of freedom” to cheer for Taiwan’s athletes. The concert is free of charge and calls on the public to come together to enjoy and support the concert.
Li Houqing explained that this year’s presidential palace concert is named “The Power of Freedom”. Freedom is a precious value protected by Taiwan. In culture and art, it can represent diverse and unframed creativity; in sports, athletes strive to break through themselves every time. Boundaries and brave pursuit of dreams are also manifestations of freedom, highlighting the infinite possibilities that freedom brings to human beings. I wish the athletes will shine on the field and let the world see Taiwan’s “power of freedom.”

The main visual “Spreading Wings of Glory” designed for this concert was also exposed today. The visual coordination was provided by MixCode, a design team that has served for many Golden Melody and Golden Horse Awards. It uses flowing multi-color, dynamic and other visual images to show the athletes The original intention of paying tribute. The creative team stated that the main visual uses radial visual symbols to outline the image of leaping and spreading wings, symbolizing that the energy accumulated by athletes training day and night can be freely unleashed in the Paris Olympics.
