Washington: The US has criticized Israel for not considering the difficulties faced by ordinary people in Gaza. The U.S. is critical of the United Nations Security Council. The country also stated that if Israel does not accept the proposals of the US, there will be restrictions including the provision of weapons.
US’s Linda Thomas Greenfield told the Security Council that there must be a link between Israel’s words and actions. But unfortunately that is not happening now. The US representative to the UN demanded an immediate change in this regard.
The US has given a proposal to take action within 30 days to solve the humanitarian problem in Gaza. Otherwise, the US has warned that it will have to face the consequences, including the cessation of arms sales. The US wants food, medicine and other essentials to be allowed into Gaza. The US is demanding that these be delivered mainly to northern Gaza. The U.S. states that there should be progress in this matter as soon as the cold season is about to begin.
The US statement at the UN Security Council comes after Norway asked the International Court of Justice to clarify Israel’s obligations to provide assistance to the UN agency for Palestinian refugees. Israel’s position on the current distribution of aid in Gaza is becoming a crisis.
At the same time, Israel is moving forward with measures to obstruct the activities of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees. As part of this, Israel imposed restrictions on the agency’s officials, including issuing visas. Meanwhile, there is criticism of the US for providing aid to Gaza.
