Kroshik, the fattest cat in the world, has passed away from Russia. The 17 kg cat’s weight loss efforts went viral on social media. However, Kroshik died on Saturday due to lung disease. The death occurred while following a weight loss diet at a veterinary center.

The cat lost nearly seven pounds through a strict diet and exercise regimen at Pinney’s Specialized Veterinary Center. This reportedly included underwater treadmill sessions. Krošić, who had difficulty even walking due to obesity, recently developed respiratory problems. A post-mortem examination revealed tumors in Kroshik’s internal organs. Experts say these tumors are the cause of death.

Biscuits and soup were the staple food of Kroshik.
