‘The job is not done yet’: Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu hints at continuing attacks

Although Israel killed the leader of Hezbollah, a Shiite Islamic organization based in Lebanon in the Middle East, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “The job is not done yet,” indicating that Israel will continue its attacks.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said on the 28th that Hezbollah leader Nasrallah was “the very definition of a terrorist” and that the killing was “necessary” in order to return residents to the border area where hostilities continue.

He then stated, “Our work is not done. We will face significant challenges in the coming days,” indicating that they will continue their attacks.

Against this backdrop, the Prime Minister’s Office announced that Defense Minister Gallant is evaluating the expansion of Israeli military activities. The military has so far said it is preparing for a ground invasion into Lebanon, and the focus is on whether to actually proceed with the invasion.

Under these circumstances, multiple American media outlets reported, citing government officials, that “Israel is preparing a limited ground invasion of Lebanon.”

Israel has shown an attitude of not accepting the 21-day ceasefire requested by the United States and other countries, and “refuses a ceasefire even for a short period.”
