OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at Cara Purvis’ home. Firefighters extinguished the fire and found four dead dogs inside the house and two locked in cages.

One of the caged dogs was emaciated due to malnutrition. The dog did not get food or water. Police arrived at the scene and spoke with Cara Purvis. She said she was not at home as her husband was in hospital.

Purvis claimed he asked someone else to feed and water the dogs while he was gone. But he didn’t care if they did. The report states that he was last at home on Sunday, July 28, and that the dogs were alive when he left.
