[May 16, KOREA WAVE]A video titled “Why the manager who cleans the ice machine never buys iced coffee” was posted on the Korean YouTube channel “I’m a Salesman.” It shows the surprising inside of ice machines used in cafes and restaurants.

A professional cleaning company for ice machines and air conditioners said, “I have something to tell you.Even coffee lovers may not be aware of the condition of ice.If you don’t clean it, it’s full of germs.”

“Some substances can cause cancer. It is not good for your health if you continue to ingest them. I don’t drink iced coffee in a store that I haven’t cleaned. It’s not easy to make clean ice. Reason for appearing on YouTube It’s there.”

Photos released show mold growing all over the parts of the ice machine. The filming team was also surprised, saying, “I couldn’t believe it was this dirty.”

When asked, “What’s the reason for leaving things in such a dirty state?” the contractor immediately answered, “It’s because they don’t know it’s dirty.”

Netizens responded, “You need a conscience to clean regularly,” “I also run a cafe, but I didn’t know about it. I need to do it right away,” and “Thank you for letting me know.”
