In view of the situation in Bangladesh, India’s Ministry of External Affairs has advised Indian citizens not to travel to Bangladesh until further notice. Considering the political situation there, there is no response from the BCCI on whether the Indian women’s team will go to Bangladesh or not.
The ICC has contingency plans for such situations and Sri Lanka could be an option if the tournament in Bangladesh is called off. The 2012 Men’s T20 World Cup was hosted by Sri Lanka from September to October.
