At the end of October, the SV Leupolz air rifle shooters started the new district league season and achieved two victories.
The first competition took place against SV Machtolsheim. Mia Sonntag was able to win her point with a new personal record of 381 rings against 367 rings. Like his opponent, Ulrich Graf hit 365 rings and won the point in a nerve-wracking playoff. Jonas Nunnenmacher was dissatisfied and gave up his point with a score of 356:367. Christian Wandel was successful again with 376:351. The 14-year-old Felicitas Fuchs Schwanz delivered a very strong performance, winning with 387:313 rings. In the end there was a 4-1 overall win for SV Leupolz.
Defeat despite a personal record
The second competition against SV Egelfingen 2 took place on the same day. Elisabeth Wandel secured the first point with an excellent score of 379:377. Mia Sonntag shot another personal record (384 rings), but she still had to admit defeat by two rings. Jonas Nonnenmacher also improved again and won with 364:360 rings. Felicita’s Foxtail then increased to a great 390 rings and won her point. Since Herbert Halder ended up losing 357:372, SV Leupolz won 3:2.
