The draw for the 106th National High School Baseball Championship Nagano Tournament was held in Shiojiri City on June 22nd, and the opponents for the 73 participating teams were decided. The tournament will begin on July 6th, and the heated battles will unfold.

Block A

The city of Oshiojiri, which won the spring prefectural tournament and defeated Seiryo (Ishikawa), one of the top four in the Hokushinetsu tournament, to take the runner-up spot, will lead the overall strength. Maruko Shugakukan, which participated in the spring prefectural tournament, is also aiming for a high ranking.

Block B　

Matsumoto Daiichi, which was in the top eight of the spring prefectural tournament, is favored. They will face the challenge of traditional school Nagano Sho in the first round. Public schools such as Iida and Shinonoi will also be hoping to ride the momentum and advance.

C Block

In the spring, Saku Nagasei, which won the fierce Toshin qualifying round and made it to the top eight in the prefectural tournament, is one step ahead and is aiming to participate in Koshien for the first time in two years. How far will the public schools be able to hang on?

D Block

The center is Nagano Shunei, who was in the top four in the spring prefectural tournament, and has been getting stronger in recent years. Their opponent is Wellness, who was in the top four last summer. There are also many strong public teams.

E Block

Nagano Nihon University, which placed third in the spring prefectural tournament, will be superior in overall strength. All other teams are public schools. How far can they hang on? They want to take the lead from the early stages and panic, and grab the victory.

F Block

Tokai University Suwa, who made it to the top eight in the spring prefectural tournament, is favored. Chasing them is Iiyama, who came in third in the spring Hokushin qualifying round and participated in the prefectural tournament. G Block

This block is made up of powerful public schools. The center is Komoro Commercial High School, which defeated the powerful Matsusho Gakuen in the spring prefectural tournament and made it to the top eight. The first match will be against Suwa Seiryo, which has a good pitcher, so it’s an exciting match. Matsumoto Fukashi High School also has a stable strength and can aim for the top.

H Block

Ueda Nishi, the runner-up in the spring prefectural tournament and the winner last summer, will face off against the powerful Matsumoto International in the first match. Last summer’s runner-up, Matsusho Gakuen, is also in this block, making it a fierce battleground. A tough battle is expected.

The opening game will be played on July 6th at four stadiums: Sekisui Heim Matsumoto Stadium, Nagano Olympic Stadium, Prefectural Ueda Baseball Stadium, and Shinkin Lake Suwa Stadium. If the schedule is played as scheduled, the final game will be played on July 27th. Which team will get the ticket to the dream of Koshien? We can expect a heated battle.
