Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of NATO, says that China is pretending to be neutral in the war in Ukraine, but Beijing is fueling this war with the support of Russia.
The Secretary of NATO said at the Wilson Center in Washington, DC that Xi Jinping, the President of China, “tried to show that he is selfless in this war to avoid sanctions and keep his trade going”.
And he said: “Actually, China is igniting the biggest armed war in Europe after World War II, and at the same time, it wants to have good relations with the West.”
Meanwhile, this official said that the only way to end the war in Ukraine is to regularly send weapons to the country.
Stoltenberg added that if Beijing cannot have both, the western allies should warn China and its actions should have consequences.
Western officials, American special officials have repeatedly warned China if Russia does not provide weapons.
