Deutsche Bahn is offering the regular BahnCard 50 at a discount starting tomorrow. Between October 1st and 13th it will only cost half as much. But the offer does not apply to everyone and is only available through certain channels.
If you travel by train regularly, you may be able to secure a special offer in the next few days. Because Deutsche Bahn is offering the regular BahnCard 50 for a limited time 50 percent cheaper as she announced in a press release.
With the BahnCard 50 you only have to pay half price for Flexpreis tickets for a year, and there is also a 25 percent discount on saver price offers. After the time has expired, the subscription will be automatically extended unless you cancel it in good time (up to four weeks before the end of the term).
As the railway emphasizes, the ticket is intended primarily for: Frequent travelers worthwhile. One of the aims of the campaign is to attract new customers – the BahnCard 50 has been “discounted more heavily than ever before”.
BahnCard 50 at half price: Offer available for two weeks
According to the press release you can get the annual ticket from October 1st to 13th buy at a discount. During this period, the regular BahnCard costs 50 (for people between the ages of 27 and 64) 122 euros for the 2nd grade and 246 euros for the 1st class. Normally you have to pay 244 euros or 492 euros for it.
Other BahnCard 50 offers should also be discounted during this period, although not quite as much. The card for seniors, for example, only costs just a bit 100 euros instead of 122 euros (2nd class) or 195 euros instead of 241 euros (1st class). People under 27 only have to 70 euros instead of almost 80 euros (2nd class) or 195 euros instead of paying 241 euros (1st class).
Discount not everywhere and not for everyone
On the railway’s website there is a note that the discounted ticket is only available on-line or in the app DB Navigator is not available in the DB travel centers and Deutsche Bahn agencies. The first day of validity must also fall on October 13, 2024 at the latest.
