The second episode of the drama series “Sky Castle” (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9:00 p.m.), starring actress Matsushita Nao, will be broadcast on August 1st.

When her son Haruto (Onishi Riku) passes the entrance exam for the highly competitive Teito Medical University High School, Saejima Kaori (Toda Naho) should have been at the peak of happiness, but she instead chooses suicide. As the celebrities of the upscale residential area “Sky Castle” are shaken, Asami Sae (Matsushita) is left speechless after reading Haruto’s diary, which was stored on the tablet she lent to Kaori. What drove Kaori to the brink was the diary, scribbled with hatred for her parents, who had forced her to study for the entrance exams, even violating her character.

Moreover, the letter also mentioned that Haruto had consulted with Kujo Ayaka (Koyuki), an entrance exam coordinator, about his worries. Just the other day, Sae had won a contract with the capable Kujo for her eldest daughter, Ruri (Arai Miu), who was aiming to enter the same high school, and was basking in a sense of superiority. However, she suddenly became suspicious of Kujo, who had declared that he would not get involved in family matters, and decided to terminate the contract. At the same time, Minamizawa Izumi (Kimura Fumino), who moved into the house that the Saejima family fled from, decides to find out the truth behind Kaori’s suicide and write a novel to prevent a similar tragedy from happening again. She tries to talk to Sae, Kyoko, and Natsume Misaki (Takahashi Maryjun), who were close friends with Kaori, but Sae shows hostility and refuses to cooperate.
