MLB Japan’s official Instagram account was updated on the 11th (Japan time), revealing a photo of Dodgers players Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto alongside “legend” Hideo Nomo.
MLB Japan wrote, “The legend has returned to LA! #HideoNomo took a photo with #ShoheiOtani and #YoshinobuYamamoto!!” and posted a photo of the two of them together. Known for his tornado pitching style, Nomo was a pioneer among Japanese major leaguers when he moved to the Dodgers in 1995. He excelled from his first year, winning rookie of the year with 13 wins and 6 losses and the most strikeouts in the league with 236. He won 201 games in Japan and the US.
