Sharif and Zardari will agree on sharing power in Pakistan

Hizb Muslim League-Nawaz reached an agreement on power sharing with Hizb Mardam Pakistan, but the politicians loyal to Imran Khan, who won the most seats in the parliament, did not participate in this coalition.

Based on this political agreement, Shahbaz Sharif will once again rely on the presidency.

Hizb Muslim League-Nawaz, which has the support of the Army, and Hizb Mardam Pakistan will reach an agreement after several days of negotiations to form a coalition government, which will include other small parties.

The new coalition government is similar to the failed government if Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, stepped down from power after the 2022 election.

A number of Pakistanis are of the opinion that this government will not continue.

Saeed Ismat, 67, told AFP: “The creation of a coalition government has proven to be ineffective in the past. Every time they form a government, inflation has increased tremendously and the situation has become difficult for poor people.”

The agreement between the two parties was announced last night in Islamabad, according to which Asif Ali Zardari will be the president.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the former foreign minister of Pakistan, said: “We hope Shahbaz Sharif will soon become the Prime Minister of Kishor and all of Pakistan should pray for the success of this government.”

He added that an agreement has been reached with Hizb Muslim League regarding the seats of the ministries and it will be announced soon.

The National Assembly of Pakistan should start working by February 29 and officially approve the coalition government.

Hizb Tehreek-e-Insaf Pakistan criticized this agreement and once again said that the elections had been rigged.

This Hizb has stated in a message that Hizb Muslim League-Nawaz and Hizb Mardam Pakistan have together stolen “taxpayers’ money” and “elections” during the last 30 years.
