Naruto and Sasuke’s Rasengan

–Please tell us your favorite scene from “NARUTO” from your unique perspective.

I was really worried about it, but the first one is the scene in volume 25 where Naruto’s “Rasengan” and Sasuke’s “Chidori” collide. In scenes like this, aren’t they likely to depict the moment they collide?

But that’s not the case here. They collide in the previous frame, and after a short delay, the image on the double page spread appears.

Moreover, the composition of the shot from underwater is amazing. I don’t think there is anyone else who has depicted the power of the impact with air bubbles. To further express the power, screen tones are applied and it is a little darker, but the water splashes melt away and the two of them are clearly visible. This series of pictures and direction is already amazing.

I can’t rank the top 5, but this is one of them.

I also really like the depiction of the falling kunai on the previous page. In the childhood of Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama, a rock sinks to the bottom of the river, which I like as a metaphor for the future relationship between the two.
