The construction sector will showcase a number of new artificial intelligence (AI) technologies at ‘Raemian Songdo Station Centripole’ in Okryeon-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, which will be sold in October.

Samsung C&T announced on the 2nd that it will strengthen its product competitiveness by applying the Raemian AI (RAI) system, electric vehicle fire response solution, and integrated earthquake-resistant package to Raemian Songdo Station Centripole. Raemian Songdo Station Centripole is the first project of the Songdo Station area urban development project in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, and Samsung C&T was in charge of everything from implementation to construction.

It will be a large complex with a maximum of 40 floors above ground, 19 buildings, and a total of 2,549 households with exclusive use areas of 59 to 101 m2. The number of households per block is 706 households in Block 1 (exclusive use areas of 59 to 84 m2), 819 households in Block 2 (exclusive use areas of 59 to 95 m2), and 1,024 households in Block 3 (exclusive use areas of 59 to 101 m2). Samsung C&T plans to sell Block 3 first in October.

The Ramian AI system will apply facial recognition entry systems and voice recognition lighting switches to each unit and common entrance. AI parking lot solutions, AI emotional lighting, and AI real-time mosaic cameras will also be introduced. Through the AI parking lot solution, parking patterns of residents can be analyzed to guide vehicles to their preferred parking areas, and visiting customers can be guided to empty parking areas close to the building they are visiting.

AI emotional lighting automatically adjusts the brightness of lighting fixtures by analyzing the amount of outdoor light through sensors installed in the lighting, and can also reduce energy consumption. In addition, the AI real-time mosaic camera has added technology to automatically de-identify images after recognizing human faces to protect personal information.

Another feature is the introduction of an electric vehicle fire response solution to respond to fires that may occur in electric vehicle charging areas. In electric vehicle charging areas, a CC (closed circuit) TV with a flame detection sensor is installed to quickly detect fires and relay them to the manager for response. Electric vehicle-specific fire extinguishing equipment is also installed to quickly extinguish fires.

The plan is to apply earthquake-resistant specialized water tanks to the fire extinguishing tanks through an integrated earthquake-resistant package design and to apply earthquake-resistant supports to fire extinguishing, water supply, and heating pipes, enabling safe residential life even in the event of an earthquake. Samsung C&T plans to gradually apply the smart home technology products it is introducing to future projects.

Samsung C&T Housing Business Division Head (Vice President) Kim Myeong-seok said, “We aim to provide a convenient and safe living environment by applying cutting-edge AI technology and safety solutions,” and “We will continue to develop differentiated products to increase Raemian’s brand value.”
