Thimphu (Bhutan): India retained the title in SAFF U-17 Football Championship. In the final, Bangladesh was crushed by two goals against no opposition. India took the lead in the 58th minute through Mohammad Kaif. Arbash increased the lead in the fifth minute of added on time before the end of the game.

This is India’s sixth title in the SAF Junior Championship. The team entered the final after defeating Nepal 4-2 in the semi-final. Pakistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Maldives also played in the championship.
