WASHINGTON – President of the United States (US) Joe Biden calling a massive attack Russia to Ukraine outrageous. He stressed that Washington would continue to support Ukraine’s energy network.

Not only Biden, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy condemned Russia’s cowardly missile and drone attacks on civilian infrastructure.

In recent months, Russia has renewed its campaign of attacks on the power grid, leading to frequent blackouts across the country.

On Monday (26/8/2024), Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked Western allies including Britain, the US and France to change their rules and let Ukraine use its weapons to strike deeper into Russia.

Ukraine is known to be allowed to use some Western weapons against targets inside Russia, but not long-range weapons. “We can do more to protect lives if European air forces work with Ukrainian air defenses,” he said.

As is known, Russia has targeted Ukraine with another wave of attacks. This attack comes a day after one of its largest airstrikes in the war.

An airstrike warning was issued on Tuesday morning (August 27, 2024), when Ukrainian monitors detected Russian aircraft launching hypersonic missiles. Massive drone strikes have also been reported.
