Russia and Ukraine continue their drone war. The Russian military again used dozens of combat drones against targets in Ukraine. There are emergency power shutdowns in two regions.

According to Ukrainian reports, the Russian military has used 100 combat drones against targets in Ukraine. “Unfortunately, there have been several drone hits on civilian infrastructure,” the Ukrainian Air Force said without giving details.

A total of 66 combat drones were shot down. The tracking of 24 other drones was lost. Four drones also turned towards Russia and Belarus. In addition to classic anti-aircraft weapons, the Ukrainian army also uses means to disrupt the electronics of drones. The majority of the drones were reportedly shot down over the surrounding areas of the capital Kiev and the Cherkasy and Khmelnytskyi regions.

Presumably as a result of hits in the Konotop district, emergency power shutdowns occurred in parts of the northern Ukrainian region of Sumy. Similar measures were also taken in the neighboring Poltava region. The Russian military regularly attacks power supply facilities in Ukraine, resulting in repeated power outages.

The Russian Ministry of Defense also reported drone attacks. 21 Ukrainian combat drones were shot down over four areas. According to reports, two people were injured in the Voronezh region.

Ukraine has been fending off a Russian invasion for over two and a half years.
