Riyadh ∙ Riyadh International Indian School is chaired by Malayali Shahnaz Abdul Jalil. It is the first time that a woman is heading the governing body. Shahnaz Abdul Jalil, Syed Zafar Ali, Shahsin Iram, Prashin Ali, Dr. Sajida Husna, Dr. Four members of the six-member governing body, including Sumayya Sangerskop, are women.
Earlier, the governing body was democratically elected, but now the Indian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, the guardian, nominates the governing body. Shahseen Iram, a member of the committee, is a journalist.
