Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund has officially denied the atmospheric disturbances and the alleged argument between Sven Mislintat and coach Nuri Sahin. According to media reports, technical director Mislintat was even on the verge of leaving BVB. “What I had to read on Sunday does not correspond to the actual situation. There was also no argument between Nuri Sahin and Sven Mislintat. And there was no reprimand from Sven Mislintat,” Lars Ricken, sports director, told the German Press Agency. Interviews with Mislintat were also agreed with the club.

Terzic also had no operational proximity

The tasks are clearly distributed, explained Ricken. Mislintat is to work in the background, contribute his expertise in squad planning and develop transfer proposals. Ricken took over overall responsibility for the sports department at BVB in May from the chairman of the management board, Hans-Joachim Watzke. “Edin Terzic also had no operational proximity during his time as technical director at BVB because his tasks were simply different,” said Ricken.
