A number of middle officers (pamen) and high-ranking officers (pati) of the National Police rise to a higher rank became brigadier general, inspector general, and commissioner general. Of the total 29 who were promoted, one of them was Musa Ikipson Manaek Muara Tampubolon who has now been promoted to Inspector General.
Inspector General Musa Ikipson Manaek Muara Tampubolon now holds the position of Principal Police Widyaiswara Level I Sespim Lemdiklat Polri. Previously, this 1991 Police Academy alumnus served as Head of the Secretariat of the Indonesian National Police Commissioner.
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo directly led the promotion to the rank or Corps Report Card of the National Police which was held at the Rupattama building of the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, on Saturday, September 28 2024. At the ceremony, General Sigit confirmed Komjen Verdianto Bitticaca as Main Assistant to the National Police Chief for Operations (Astama) . Meanwhile, Komjen Wahyu Hadiningrat is the Main Assistant to the National Police Chief for General Planning and Budget (Astamarena).
Apart from that, General Sigit also appointed several regional police chiefs, including the South Sumatra Regional Police Chief and the South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief. A number of cyber crime directors (Dittipidsiber) in 8 regional police were also appointed by the National Police Chief. There is also Brigadier General Desy Andriani who was appointed as Director of Crimes for Women and Children (PPA) and Crimes for Human Trafficking (PPO) at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
Profile of Inspector General Musa Tampubolon
Musa Ikipson Manaek Muara Tampubolon is a National Police officer who graduated from the Police Academy in 1991. His last position was as Head of the Secretariat of the Indonesian National Police Commissioner.
The man who was born in the city of Medan, August 1969, has been entrusted with the position of Head of the Secretariat of the Indonesian National Police Commissioner since August 25 2021. After 3 years holding the position at the National Police Commissioner, Musa Tampubolon has now returned to the National Police with a new position as Principal Police Widyaiswara Level I Sespim Lemdiklat Polri.
Ikipson has experience in the field of Intelligence and Security. During his service at the National Police, he held a number of positions in the intelligence and security sector, including serving as Dirintelkam Polda Kepri (2016), Dirintelkam Polda NTT (2015).
Musa Ikipson Tampubolon has also served as Deputy Head of the North Sumatra Police for Medan Police (1997) and North Tapanuli Police for North Sumatra Police (1994). His experience in the field of intelligence and security also led him to hold the position of Intermediate Policy Analyst for the National Police’s Security Agency (Integrity and Security Affairs) in 2018 and Head of the National Police’s Security and Information Security Division in 2017.
He has also held a number of other strategic positions, including as Irwasda Polda Kepri in 2020. Ikipson Tampubolon also held the position of Chief of Binjai Police in 2011 and Chief of Toba Police in 2009. Pati Polri also served as Deputy Chief of Police for South Jakarta Metro Police in 2013.
Ikipson has also served as Head of Cilandak Police, South Jakarta Metro Police, South Jakarta Police, Polda Metro Jaya in 2005, Head of Kalideres Police, West Jakarta Metro Police, Polda Metro Jaya in 2002, Head of Medan Baru Police, Medan Police, North Sumatra Police in 1999, Head of Percut Sei Tuan Police, Medan Police, North Sumatra Police in 1998, and Kapolsek Pahae Julu, North Tapanuli Police, North Sumatra Police in 1994.
