President Yoon and his spouse, First Lady Kim Kun-hee, visited the ‘Korean War Veterans Memorial’ as their first stop in the Philippines that day. This place was created to commemorate the fallen soldiers of the Philippine military during the Korean War. At this event, President Yoon asked a war veteran, “Do you remember anything?” The veteran then responded, “During my two-year deployment to Korea, I fought in major battles in which Filipino troops participated, including the Battle of Yuldong. I am proud of my participation in the Korean War.” President Yoon shook hands with each of the veterans and their bereaved families and said, “Please stay healthy. “Thank you,” he said.

President Yoon plans to have a dinner meeting with his compatriots this evening.

President Yoon will hold a summit meeting with Philippine President Marcos on the 7th. Afterwards, we plan to carry out schedules such as an MOU (business agreement) exchange ceremony and joint media announcements.
