“I thought about stabbing her and then killing myself.”
The incident occurred around 9:50 a.m. on the 31st.
“The suspect, Yano, called 119 from his apartment in Nogata, Nakano Ward, Tokyo, saying, ‘I stabbed my girlfriend with a kitchen knife.’ When police officers (Nogata Police Station) rushed to the scene, they found a teenage woman being treated by paramedics, and Yano admitted to stabbing the woman.
A bloody knife was found next to the bed in the bedroom, which led to an emergency arrest. The woman had been stabbed in the chest, but was conscious when she was transported to the hospital.
Yano explained that he was in a relationship with the girl, and when questioned he said, “I thought I would stab her and then kill myself,” so it is believed that there was some kind of trouble between the two.” (Social Affairs Department reporter)

Yano was known in the industry as the leader of the three-member music unit “Tsuyu,” which was responsible for the ending theme of a hit sci-fi anime about delinquents.
“Suspect Yano, who goes by the name ‘Pusu,’ began posting songs, including Vocaloid songs, mainly on Nico Nico Douga in 2012 while attending a music college.
At that time, contributors influenced by “Hachi” (= Kenshi Yonezu) were beginning to emerge, and “Pusu” was one of them. After that, he expanded his field of activities as a singer, and in 2019, he formed the three-person music unit “Tsuyu”. He is responsible for writing the lyrics and composing all the songs, and from 2022, he was affiliated with a major record company and was active under a two-year contract.
In January of last year, he launched Tsuyu Co., Ltd. and became its CEO. In the same year, he joined the ranks of top musicians, including performing the ending theme for a hit anime. The group’s YouTube channel had over 1 million subscribers, but in November of the same year, they terminated their contract with the label.” (Music writer)
The home where the incident occurred is a room in an apartment building along the Circular Route 7, about 250 meters north of Nogata Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line. As it faces a residential area, local residents are shocked.
“I saw what looked like an ambulance’s lights from my window, so I went outside wondering if something had happened, and was surprised to see an ambulance in front of my apartment building, and a fire engine and a police car parked along the Route 7 loop line.
There was a police line up, and paramedics and police officers were busy going in and out of the apartment building.
After a while, a blonde man came out surrounded by police officers on both sides and was taken to a police car. He didn’t resist, just walked silently with his head down.”

According to the resident, the apartment building where the incident occurred advertises itself as soundproofing, and many people who appear to be in the music industry live there.
“There are a lot of people who look like band members or YouTubers, and I haven’t seen many who look like regular office workers. In fact, there are a lot of flashy looking people who go into that apartment, and I’ve seen men with long hair and wearing skirt pants.” (Same source)
