Yusei Kikuchi, a pitcher for the Blue Jays from Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, will start against the Guardians, who are leading the American League Central Division, on June 24th, Japan time.
They were also at the mercy of the rain and suffered their seventh loss.

Pitcher Kikuchi took to the mound in an attempt to stop the team’s losing streak, but with two outs in the first inning, he allowed consecutive hits and put the team in a pinch with runners on third and first, and then allowed a timely hit to lose a run.

He gave up consecutive hits in the next two innings as well, making for a tough pitching performance.
With two outs, the ball hits right field. With the help of a fine play from his teammate, he gets through this inning with no runs.

However, in the third inning, the team allowed two runs with the bases loaded and no outs, and the rain got heavier, forcing the game to be halted. Pitcher Kikuchi was taken out of the game at the end of the inning.

The team was then overtaken, and pitcher Kikuchi suffered his seventh loss.
