The Pandeglang KPU revealed the results of the health checks of four prospective candidates for regent and deputy regent of Pandeglang. The results of the checks stated, Nurul Qomar who became Aap Aptadi’s deputy was deemed not to meet the requirements (TMS).

“From the results of the conclusions issued by the medical team for the health examination, one pair of candidates for regent and deputy regent were deemed not to meet the requirements,” said Head of the Technical Division of Election Organizers of the Pandeglang KPU Restu Sugrining Umam, Friday (6/9/2024).

“From individuals, on behalf of the couple Aap and Nurul Qomar, who were later deemed physically incapacitated,” he added.

Restu said based on the minutes of the examination results by the Banten Regional Hospital medical team, the prospective deputy regent candidate Nurul Qomar was physically unable or was not allowed to follow the next stage. According to him, Aap Aptadi must replace Nuru Qomar as his deputy.

“It is considered not to meet the requirements for being physically unable. And it is also regulated in PKPU 8 in Article 126 relating to replacements for those who are considered physically unable,” he said.

Restu explained that in the replacement process, there are no administrative requirements for support that need to be attached. In this case, Aap Aptadi does not need to collect KTP again, as a condition for support from independent or individual paths.

“It was replaced and cannot be repeated administratively, later the Bapaslon who are considered not to meet the requirements, whether they are candidates for regent or deputy regent, will then apply mutatis mutandis to re-register with the KPU,” he explained.

The KPU itself has opened the re-registration process for prospective candidate pairs who are deemed ineligible. The registration period is three days from September 6-8, 2024.

“The replacement phase is from September 6 to 8,” said Restu.
