Sharing with VNA reporters on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2023), she said that she often visits her homeland so she feels the changes of the country in all aspects, from culture, society, politics to economy and she is very happy with those changes.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien has been in charge of the Vietnamese Club for the past 7 years with the active support of the Vietnamese Women’s Association in Malaysia, the community and the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia. According to her, teaching and learning Vietnamese is to preserve the national identity and Vietnamese culture in the generation of Vietnamese people born and raised abroad, helping them not forget their roots. Vietnamese is like a cultural connection, connecting Vietnamese people around the world. She believes that her small contribution is of great significance in preserving national identity.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoang, Chairman of the Vietnamese Liaison Committee in Slangor, said that he often visits his hometown in Ha Tinh. Every time he visits, he sees that the country is developing very quickly and is one of the fastest growing countries in the region. He was moved to say that when mentioning April 30, he remembers the glorious victory of the nation, completely liberating the South, ending the longest, most difficult and greatest war of national salvation in the history of our people’s resistance against foreign invaders. As Chairman of the Vietnamese Liaison Committee in Selangor, he is very proud of his country. Therefore, although he is far from his homeland, he is always aware of community solidarity with meaningful activities such as looking towards Truong Sa, cultural and sports activities such as football tournaments, organizing community Tet holidays to connect people far from home. He hopes that the Vietnamese community in Malaysia will increasingly develop, grow and contribute to building the homeland and the country.

For her part, Ms. Pham Hong Lam, a member of the Vietnam Business Association and the Malaysia – Vietnam Friendship Association, also feels the strong changes in her homeland every time she visits her relatives in Vietnam. She is very proud when her Malaysian friends say that Vietnam has a fairly high GDP growth rate. The Vietnamese community in Malaysia is growing stronger and stronger through many meaningful activities such as “The Whole Leaves Cover the Torn Leaves”; “Greening Truong Sa”; “Supporting the Central Region”… She hopes that the Vietnamese community will become more and more united, have a position in the host country and always look towards Vietnam with much love. As a member of the Malaysia – Vietnam Friendship Association, she always contributes to common activities with the desire to connect and send the most sincere feelings.
