One lakh crore milestone from ‘Prudent’ in mutual fund assets

Mumbai : Prudent Corporate Advisory Services announced that it has crossed the Rs 1 lakh crore mark in mutual fund assets under management. Prudent achieved this feat last July 26 and is the second non-bank mutual fund distributor to achieve such a milestone. In the last five years, her equity assets have increased five times.

The attraction of mutual fund houses and distributors towards partnering with technology-enabled distributor platforms has also increased manifold post-coronavirus. According to Prudent, the number of mutual fund distributors (MFDs) joining its platform has almost tripled in the last five years. Commenting on this, Prudent Group CEO Shirish Patel said, Prudent’s equity assets have grown at a compounded rate of 40 per cent compared to 28 per cent in the overall industry. The growth rate in monthly SIP flows has also increased at a CAGR of 26 per cent compared to the industry average of 21 per cent and the number of investor folios has grown at a CAGR of 21 per cent.

Monthly SIP inflows from Prudent have reached a significant Rs 800 crore level in July 2024. Prudent’s growth is attributed to its network of over 30,000 distributor partners and over 1.7 lakh investors, Patel said.
