New York ∙ NSS of the Hudson Valley hosted an Onaghosha on September 1 at the Sitar Palace in Orangeburg. Also, Vidyadhiraja Parambhattaraka conducted the memorial service of Chattambiswamy.

President G.K. Nair welcomed. Secretary Padmavati Nair and First Lady Jagadamma Nair lit the Bhadradeepam. Master Ishan and Dheeraj sang the prayer song. After giving the message, Dr. P.G., one of the founding fathers of NBA. Nair gave Onam awards to all who participated in the Onam celebration.

It has been decided to hold special prayers for those who lost their lives in the Wayanad disaster and to collect funds for those who are suffering and deliver them to the deserving through Seva Bharati International.

Treasurer Krishnakumar Chattampiswamy’s Centenary Commemoration Guruvandanam. Ayyappasevasangham President and KHNA Board of Trustee member Gopinath Kurup Parama Bhattarakah Vidyadhiraja Chattambi gave a brief description and commemoration of Swami from his birth to his samadhi.

NSS Hudson Valley President G.K. Nair, NBA former president Appukuttan Nair, NBA joint secretary and board member of Kerala Hindus of North America Jayaprakash Nair, Mantra National Organization president-elect Krishnaraj Mohan and others spoke in remembrance of Swamiji’s revolutionary activities on Chattambiswamy’s samadhi centenary.

The audience enjoyed Jayaprakash Nair’s Alapicha Onakavitha and Sujith’s singing. NSS of Hudson Valley New York celebrated birthdays in May, June, July, and August by cutting birthday cakes. Secretary Padmavati Nair gave a vote of thanks after the sumptuous Onam dinner prepared by Sithar Palace.
