No one should worry about not having money in their account, just be a secondary user of someone who has money, GooglePay, PhonePay. Make digital payments anytime, anywhere. The new feature introduced by the National Payments Corporation has been launched with both convenience and concern. The new feature will allow primary users to add family members and friends as secondary users, enabling transactions to be made using the primary user’s bank account.

The feature is expected to be especially useful for parents who give their children pocket money, senior citizens who are wary of making digital transactions, and business owners who need to assign their employees to manage cash. Once added, primary users will have the option to set a secondary user’s spending limit or get approval for each transaction.

The primary user will have the option to monitor the activity of the secondary users on the app. A primary user can also set different maximum limits for different secondary users.

How to setup UPI Circle

∙Go to the UPI circle menu in the payment app

∙Tap Add family or friends

∙Enter a secondary UPI ID

∙ Scan the UPI QR code

∙ Or search for phone contacts to add

∙Choose to spend with limits or accept all payments

∙The secondary user will receive a notification to accept the request

∙Once approved, secondary users can initiate payment using primary user’s UPI account

∙A primary user can add up to five secondary users, however, a secondary user can only accept one primary user. The primary user can also revoke access to the secondary user at any time.
