The Ministry of Defense announced that at least one ballistic missile was launched from North Korea early this morning and is presumed to have fallen outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ).

Today, perhaps because of the heat of around 30 degrees, there were few people around, and what appeared to be soldiers were seen sitting in the shade.
Last week, a large number of North Korean soldiers were in the area working to set up the pillars.
Since around April of this year, the South Korean military has confirmed that North Korean forces have been burying landmines and reinforcing military roads near the military demarcation line.
Furthermore, North Korea continued its provocations by flying balloons filled with garbage into South Korea for the second consecutive day last night.
The South Korean military also announced earlier today that it had conducted artillery drills in the Yellow Sea buffer zone, which was prohibited under the 2018 inter-Korean military agreement. This could lead to increased retaliation from North Korea.
