This work is based on the 4-panel manga “Happy Kanako’s Killer Life” (Seikaisha COMICS) by Toshiya Wakabayashi. Kanako Nishino (Non), who quit her job at a black company because she couldn’t stand the power harassment from her boss, joins a hit shop because she’s attracted to the good pay. A comedy about a man who is hesitant about killing people but develops a hidden talent and grows into a skilled assassin. Fujigaya plays Sakurai, the killer’s partner who is unfriendly and only says “I’m going to kill you,” but who is always worried about and watching over Kanako.

The two, who are co-starring for the first time, also took on the challenge of action scenes. When asked about what it was like during the filming, they looked at each other and smiled bitterly, saying, “It was amazing, wasn’t it?” Non says, “When I was practicing my actions, I thought, “I’m good at it,” but when the action director checked Fujigaya-san’s video, I took a quick look and thought, “Are you doing something like this?” “I was surprised,” he said, raising his expectations.

Fujigaya also looked confident, saying, “While filming and practicing, I think it turned out to be a really good action scene.” “We haven’t seen the video since it’s still being edited, so I’m looking forward to seeing it soon,” he said with anticipation.

They also apparently filmed explosion scenes in residential areas, and the two looked at each other and said, “You don’t really see them.” Fujigaya said, “There are scenes that will make you laugh out loud instead of just giggling, and the action scenes will definitely make you nervous. It also contains a message for today’s society, so I hope you will watch it.” “I hope you will see how the two buddies gradually develop and grow,” he said.

At the same event, Yosuke Kubozuka (45) and Kazuya Kamenashi (KAT-TUN/38), who appear in the drama “Gedo no Uta” (exclusive distribution starts on December 6th), and the drama “Donketsu” (exclusive distribution in spring 2025) will be in attendance. Hideaki Ito (49), who will be appearing in “Start”, also took the stage.
