[June 12th KOREA WAVE]

In the latest chart (dated June 15th) released by the US Billboard on the 11th (local time), Korean girl group NewJeans’ song “How Sweet” rose to 12th place in the “Global (excluding the US)” and 21st place in the “Global 200”. This is the second week in a row that they have stayed in the top spots.

“How Sweet” is the title track of the double single of the same name, from which “Bubble Gum” also ranked 27th and 48th on the Global (Excluding the U.S.) and Global 200 respectively.

Billboard’s Global Songs Chart is based on streaming and music sales (downloads) in over 200 regions around the world, and is considered an indicator of global popularity.

NewJeans, who have been doing well on music charts at home and abroad, will continue their momentum by releasing their Japanese debut single “Supernatural” on the 21st.
