The new subscription level is called “additional member with advertising” and is available for all users who have a standard subscription without advertising or a premium subscription, As the Netflix support website reveals. So far, you had to pay 4.99 euros a month if you wanted to add another person to your account. The new option only costs 3.99 euros a month – but it is an advertising -financed membership.

Netflix could soon increase prices in Germany. Among others in the USA, Canada, Portugal and Argentina, subscription prices have currently risen by around one to two dollars. The company justified this step with the enormous increase in subscribers. In Germany, prices were last increased in April 2024.
