The New Nintendo 2DS XL is considered a new member of the 3DS family and no longer has much in common with its original version. It comes with reduced weight and a large screen and is particularly impressive because it does without the 3D view, which some 3DS owners hardly use anyway.

After Nintendo announced the Nintendo Switch, handheld fans wondered whether this would mean the end of the small, handy devices. But even at that time, the Japanese company stated that there would continue to be new handhelds from the DS series. The New Nintendo 2DS XL is the best proof of this statement.
Nintendo really polished up the second generation. This falls first new design on. The Nintendo 2DS has always stood out with its looks. According to the handheld manufacturer, the device should also be aimed more at children, which is why a fixed design was created. With the New Nintendo 2DS XL they are now going back to the roots and giving the 2D device a flip case.
The new Nintendo device costs around 160 euros 30 euros less than the price of a brand new New Nintendo 3DS XL. It offers almost all the functions that the previous device already has.
