Referreport
It looks like an ancient relic from a bygone era. Researchers and archaeologists have been puzzling for weeks: What is that? It was found by a hiker on an Alpine pass near Graubünden in Switzerland.
The discovery is puzzling around the world
The object is a mystery all over the world. Among other things, the Miami Herald reports about it. The find resembles a two-wheeled cart. However, he looks older than he can be. The item is made of bamboo and this material was only introduced to Europe in the 18th century.
So what could this be? The canton of Graubünden is turning to the public via Facebook and asking for their help: “Anyone who has any information about the unknown found object can contact the Graubünden Archaeological Service directly.”

“Klara’s wheelchair”, “Ötzi’s Porsche” or a smuggler’s cart?
A look at the comments shows: Even if they have no idea, people are definitely creative. It could be Klara’s wheelchair, says a man, alluding to the well-known children’s story “Heidi”. Maybe it’s “a smuggler’s cart from the First or Second World War,” says another. And a third speculates that it could also be “Ötzi’s Porsche”.
Finally, the surprising – and not particularly spectacular – solution: It is an art object called “Greta’s Tesla”. This is revealed by an anonymous letter – presumably from the artist of the work – to the Graubünden Archaeological Service.
