Archana Puran Singh has played many comedy roles in the movie. Currently in Kapil Sharma Show, instead of doing skits like other actors, she gives colorful moments to the audience with her laughter. Their laughter makes even some boring moments in the show interesting. However, such a performance is not easy even when faced with a family crisis. In a recent interview, Archana mentioned a difficult situation she faced during a comedy show. She says that her mother-in-law had passed away, but she still had to laugh at the show.
In an interview with ‘Instant Bollywood’, Archana said, “During a comedy show, I got the news that my mother-in-law had passed away. We had shot half of the show and I told them that I have to go, but they requested me to sit till the show itself was shot. After that I sat and laughed for a while.”

I don’t know how I laughed but..
I was smiling for the show and thinking in my mind, my mother-in-law has just left and what must be going on in the house now. I don’t know how I laughed at this time. But after working in this industry for 30–40 years, you understand that producers’ money is involved. You cannot leave your work unfinished. My husband also understood this, said Archana Puran Singh.
The terrible experience of laughing in sorrow
Archana further said, at that time everything seemed dark. I could not see anything. He just said ‘Action’ and I kept laughing. I was thinking in my mind, who could have such a bad luck that even after such sad news, I started to laugh. But the show must go on. So I laughed, said Archana Puran Singh.

Archana’s remuneration is less than others
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Archana Pooran Singh clarified that she gets half the salary of other actors in that “The Great Indian Kapil Show”. During this conversation, Kiku Sharda from the show was asked if she feels bad seeing Archana just sit back and laugh and get paid for it. On this, Archana explained, “People take double money. So right, work hard I get paid less for laughs than them, they get paid more for working harder for skits.”

Recently, the latest episode of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ featured the cast of ‘Deora’ including Janhvi Kapoor, Jr. NTR, and Saif Ali Khan. The episode is currently streaming on Netflix.
